This trip has it all. We are going to spend three days in Gili Islands, which is an island three hours off the coast off Bali, not known by too many people, and very beautiful. It has no motor vehicles and you can walk around, cycle, and laze at the beach. The sea itself is a beautiful light blue, green here, in 5 or 6 different shades, just like it is on tropical islands.
We have some amazing resorts that we are staying in Bali. The three batches in 2018 went absolutely crazy seeing the resorts and we had amazing fun there.
We are also climbing an active volcano in Bali (don’t worry, its not very difficult). We will also see the "Eat Pray Love" part of Bali – Ubud. We shall go on walks through beautiful ridges, jump in a waterfall, and sit on a cliff on the southern tip of Bali – a famous temple behind us and miles and miles of ocean in front.
There is going to be partying and pubbing in glitzy Kuta – Bali’s party hub, informal photo sessions and dress up as well as casual dinners, lazing on beaches and dancing and more.

Places Covered : Bali, Kuta, Nusa Dua, Gili Islands, Ubud, Tegenungan Kemenuh, Mount Batur |
Upon your arrival at Denpasar Airport, a cab will transfer the group to the hotel in Kuta. Check in to the hotel and after some rest, we’ll go to Kuta Beach. Later in the evening, we will stroll around the party streets and spend some time at the pubs and cafes there.
First we head to thebeaches at Nusa Dua. They have a variety of water sports here, and you can try your hand at the speedboats, banana boat, bumpy rides, parasailing etc.
Note: Water sports is an optional activity and not part of the package inclusions.
After lunch we head to Uluwatu Temple. On the Southern tip of Bali, it sits majestically on top of a cliff. The cliff itself is over the ocean and has one of the best views of the Indian Ocean. We shall head back after dusk and more partying tonight.
Today, we are headed to the island of Gili Trawangan, from Bali. It is an island that not many in India have really heard of, and it is pretty, has a lovely blue green sea and is everything an island should be. We are headed to this island by fast boa
After freshening up at the hotel, we can take bicycles and cycle around the island. There are no tours scheduled for the day, and we shall do things the “traveler” way, not the “tourist” way. Cycle around, stop where we want, click pictures, have a drink at a local bar, and laze by the sea.
After a lazy, very lazy breakfast, we shall be taking a glass bottom boat ride to the two islands of Gili Air and Gili Meno. The water is absolutely stunning. The boat stops midway to allow people to snorkel and I don't think you'd have seen more beautiful corals or marine life like what you are going to see here. We will be back by afternoon.
Let’s explore another part of the island today evening. We could even do a fun beach photoshoot among ourselves. There are these beautiful swings just about a foot into the sea which make for beautiful pictures.
The day has been kept free for people to do what they want. One of the main reasons to keep this day free is so that people can spend the day doing Scuba Diving (not part of package inclusions). Scuba diving does not require you to know swimming. It is a beautiful, peaceful sport, where you go inside the ocean (wearing fins, a diving suit with an oxygen cyclinder strapped to it).
We take the morning boat back to Bali. Once we reach the port, a cab drives us down to the town of Ubud. Remember the movie “Eat, Pray, Love”. Yes, Ubud is where they shot themovie, and Bali became even more famous than it was before.
The afternoon and evening has been kept free for everyone. What I recommend is that you do this beautiful little walk – the Campuhan Ridge Walk.
A trip really isn’t a trip if you don’t find your way under a waterfall! On a hot, hot day (and it is always hot in Bali!) what better than to go to a hidden waterfall in the middle of a lush, green jungle! We drive down to Tegenungan Kemenuh village, and find our way down narrow paths and a series of steps down to a river. There are several springs and streams on the way to the waterfall and spend time talking to the local villagers.
On our way back, we first visit a pretty temple and then drive back to Ubud. In the evening, head to Ubud market, and we shall have our dinner at a cosy restaurant, or “warung” as they call it here.
We are going on a sunrise trek to Mount Batur - Bali's active volcano. Don't worry, it won't be fuming then ;)
The trek starts in the middle of the night, so it is quite exciting. It takes about two hours to reach the top, max 2.5 hours if you are going up slowly. Faster people will do it within 1.5 hours. The trek is conducted by local guides and we shall have at least 3 or 4 local guides with our group.
The views from the top are awesome – the sun comes up from behind a mountain, and lake Batur shimmers in this early morning glow. We get back to the hotel by noon. After the efforts in the morning, the rest of the day is chilled out.
The Tour ends today, people! A cab will transfer us to the airport and from there it is back to India. Hope you had a great trip, and we shall meet somewhere some time again soon! Salud!
